Lord Street West United Church

A friendly Methodist & United Reformed Church at the heart of Southport located on the corner of Lord Street west and Duke Street.

We are a welcoming and friendly congregation, drawing worshippers from throughout Southport, and visitors to our town. Services are led by our Minister and Methodist and URC preachers, supported by our choir and organ.

We hope and pray that if you worship with us you will experience something of the presence of the living God, who is the reason for everything that we do.

Our Sunday Morning Service each week is at 10.45am.  Communion is usually celebrated on the 1st Sunday of the month and all Age Worship on the 3rd Sunday of the month.

Once a month we hold an Evening Communion Service at 6pm (usually on the third Sunday of the month).

Each Wednesday at 10.30am we have a coffee morning followed by a short midweek service in the Small Hall from 11.20 to 11.45 am. On Wednesday from 10.30 am to 11.30am, our church is open for quiet and prayer.

All our services, including Communion, are open to everyone. To see our activities and Service details for this week please click on "Latest News" under the "What's On" tab at the top of this page.

Sunday morning JAM Club (during the Morning Service) helps children to get to know Jesus and his love. A lay worker leads our ministry and outreach to children and families. Weekly activities and coffee mornings are open to all.

House Groups enable us to share and grow in faith.

Our Church is a popular venue for Weddings and Baptisms and we always try to say yes to requests for these.

You can read more about getting Married at Lord Street West by visiting the page on weddings which is found in the What's On section of the website, under Church Groups.
